Cytokeratin 10 Antibody (VIK-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Cytokeratin 10 in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP). Cytokeratin 10 is a crucial component of the cytoskeleton in epithelial cells, specifically found in the suprabasal layers of the epidermis, where Cytokeratin 10 plays a vital role in maintaining cellular integrity and resilience against mechanical stress. Cytokeratin 10 is part of a heterotetrameric structure, typically associated with keratin 1, and Cytokeratin 10 expression is essential for the differentiation of keratinocytes, contributing to the formation of the protective barrier of the skin. Cytokeratin 10 is particularly significant in the context of squamous cell carcinomas, as anti-Cytokeratin 10 antibody (VIK-10) serves as a marker for tissue differentiation, aiding in the characterization and diagnosis of malignant tumors. Thank you for your question. Yes, sc-51581: Cytokeratin 10 (VIK-10) is recommended for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections.
