    SEE ALSO...

Cytokeratin 13 Antibody (A-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects Cytokeratin 13 (CK13) of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-CK13 antibody (A-5) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CK13 is a member of the intermediate filament protein family, specifically forming a heterotetramer with cytokeratin 4, and is primarily located in the cytoskeletal region of non-keratinized stratified squamous epithelia. This localization contributes to the structural integrity and mechanical resilience of epithelial cells, particularly in tissues that undergo significant stress or abrasion. CK13 serves as a marker for tissue differentiation in squamous cell carcinomas and aids in characterizing malignant tumors. Mutations in the KRT13 gene can lead to white sponge nevus of Cannon, a rare genetic disorder characterized by soft, white, spongy lesions in the oral mucosa, highlighting CK13′s clinical significance in both normal physiology and disease states.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-376901 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: TinTin
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
