Datasheets
  • Cytokeratin 13 Antibody (A-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 κ, cited in 3 publications, provided at 200 µg/ml
  • specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 128-163 within an internal region of Cytokeratin 13 of human origin
  • Anti-Cytokeratin 13 Antibody (A-3) is recommended for detection of Cytokeratin 13 of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF, IHC(P) and ELISA
  • m-IgG Fc BP-HRP, m-IgG1 BP-HRP and m-IgGκ BP-HRP are the preferred secondary detection reagents for Cytokeratin 13 Antibody (A-3) for WB and IHC(P) applications. These reagents are now offered in bundles with Cytokeratin 13 Antibody (A-3) (see ordering information below).

SEE ALSO...

Cytokeratin 13 Antibody (A-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Cytokeratin 13 in mouse, rat, and human samples through western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Cytokeratin 13 antibody (A-3) is available in non-conjugated and multiple conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and various Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Cytokeratin 13 forms a heterotetramer with cytokeratin 4 as a crucial component of the intermediate filament family, primarily located in the cytoskeletal region of non-cornified stratified squamous epithelia. Cytokeratin 13 maintains structural integrity and mechanical resilience of epithelial cells, essential for tissue protection and function. Cytokeratin 13 serves as a marker for epithelial tissue differentiation, proving particularly valuable in studying squamous cell carcinomas where expression patterns indicate tumor characteristics. KRT13 gene defects are linked to white sponge nevus of Cannon, a rare genetic disorder causing soft, white, spongy lesions in the oral mucosa, underscoring Cytokeratin 13′s clinical significance in health and disease.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-390982 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Dr Ninau Qelp
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
