    SEE ALSO...

Cytokeratin 10/13 Antibody (0.N.355) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects Cytokeratin 10/13 in human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry. Cytokeratin 10 and 13 are crucial components of the cytoskeletal structure in epithelial cells, primarily located in the intermediate filaments, where these proteins contribute to mechanical resilience and tissue integrity. Expression of Cytokeratin 10 and 13 is particularly significant in the differentiation of keratinized and non-keratinized epithelial tissues, making these proteins valuable markers for identifying specific types of epithelial cells and their states. Cytokeratin 10 is often associated with the differentiation of squamous epithelial cells, while Cytokeratin 13 is typically expressed in the more basal layers of stratified squamous epithelium. Anti-Cytokeratin 10/13 antibody (0.N.355) accurately identifies these proteins, aiding in the characterization of various malignant tumors, including squamous cell carcinomas and adenocarcinomas, thereby providing essential insights into tumor biology and potential therapeutic targets.

What blocking solution should I use with Cytokeratin 10/13 (0.N.355): sc-70909 monoclonal antibody for Western blot?

    Asked by: jenniferc
Thank you for your question. We recommend blocking with Blotto (either TBS Blotto A: sc-2333 or TBS Blotto B: sc-2335). Our Western blot protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/western-immuno-blotting
