pan-Cytokeratin Antibody (AE1/AE3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects pan-Cytokeratin across multiple species including mouse, rat, human, bovine, and rabbit, by applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP). anti-pan-Cytokeratin antibody (AE1/AE3) is available in both conjugated and non-conjugated forms, providing flexibility for various experimental needs. Cytokeratins, recognized by pan-Cytokeratin monoclonal antibody (AE1/AE3), are a vital group of intermediate filament proteins that maintain the structural integrity of epithelial cells. These proteins are expressed in pairs and are essential for cellular differentiation and tissue specialization, making them particularly valuable in cancer research. Specific cytokeratins serve as reliable biomarkers for distinguishing between different types of tumors; cytokeratins 10 and 13 are frequently elevated in certain squamous cell carcinomas, while cytokeratin 18 is predominantly expressed in adenocarcinomas and basal cell carcinomas. Expression patterns of cytokeratins help characterize malignant tumors and provide insights into epithelial cell function and pathology.
