NUT family member 2 activators encompass a range of compounds that influence cellular pathways leading to the activation of this protein. Forskolin, through cAMP elevation, activates PKA, which in turn can phosphorylate CREB, a transcription factor that promotes the activation of NUT family member 2. Similarly, caffeine, by inhibiting the degradation of cAMP, indirectly enhances the activation of NUT family member 2 through sustained PKA signaling. db-cAMP, a synthetic analog of cAMP, also activates PKA, bolstering the phosphorylation of key transcription factors that are integral in NUT family member 2 activation.
