Pannexin-1 Activators

Pannexin-1 Activators belong to a class of chemical compounds associated with the modulation or enhancement of the biological activity of Pannexin-1 (Panx1), a membrane protein found in various tissues and cells throughout the human body. Panx1 is a member of the pannexin family of gap junction proteins, which are involved in facilitating the passage of ions and small molecules between adjacent cells. Pannexin-1 Activators are believed to interact with Panx1, influencing its conformation, ion permeability, or gating properties.
