ATMIN Activators

ATMIN activators represent a diverse group of chemical compounds that serve to enhance the functional activity of ATMIN, an essential component of the cell's DNA damage response and cell cycle regulation machinery. The TrkB agonist, 7,8-Dihydroxyflavone, activates the PI3K/AKT pathway, a central route in which ATMIN plays a significant role. This activation leads to an upsurge in ATMIN activity, playing a pivotal role in DNA damage response and cell cycle regulation. Resveratrol, a SIRT1 activator, leads to the deacetylation and activation of ATM kinase, thereby enhancing the functional activity of ATMIN.

Other compounds, including Olaparib, Quercetin, and Epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), also function as ATM kinase activators, leading to an enhancement in ATMIN's functional activity. Doxorubicin and Etoposide induce DNA damage that subsequently activates ATM kinase, which interacts with ATMIN, enhancing its functionality. Interestingly, Caffeine, an ATM kinase inhibitors, also lead to a compensatory upregulation of ATMIN, a testament to the complex feedback mechanisms at play within the cell. Autophagy inhibitor (SIRT1 inhibitor) Nicotinamide also interact with and enhance the functional activity of ATMIN via their effects on DNA damage and ATM kinase activation, respectively.
