ATMIN Antibody (E-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ATMIN protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-ATMIN antibody (E-12) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ATMIN, also known as ATM/ATR-substrate Chk2-interacting Zn2+-finger protein, plays a crucial role in DNA damage response by acting as a scaffold protein in the Rad51 focus formation pathway, which is essential for repairing DNA damage. ATMIN is involved in forming Rad51-containing foci in response to DNA methylating agents and persistent single-stranded DNA gaps, facilitating effective DNA repair processes. ATMIN′s function is enhanced by structural components, including an N-terminal nucleic acid binding domain, a nuclear localization signal, and a C-terminal SQ/TQ cluster domain (SCD). These structural features enable ATMIN to interact with the Forkhead-associated (FHA) domain of Chk2, potentially serving as a substrate for ATM/ATR kinase. A deficiency in functional ATMIN can lead to impaired Rad51 focus formation, resulting in increased DNA damage-induced apoptosis, highlighting ATMIN′s critical role in maintaining genomic stability.
