ZRSR2 Activators

ZRSR2 Activators refer to a class of compounds that can influence the activity of the ZRSR2 protein, a molecule integral to the pre-mRNA splicing process. The ZRSR2 protein, formally known as the Zinc finger CCCH-type, RNA binding motif and serine/arginine rich 2, operates within the intricate machinery of RNA splicing.

EGF for instance, can modulate RNA splicing machinery through various signaling pathways, thus having an indirect impact on ZRSR2 activity. Forskolin, which influences cAMP levels, and Ionomycin, which modulates calcium signaling, are other examples of agents that can impact splicing regulation and, by extension, ZRSR2's role within it. Compounds like Resveratrol and Sodium butyrate, which modulate cellular processes or gene expression, can also exert influence on ZRSR2 indirectly. Similarly, Okadaic acid, an inhibitor of protein phosphatases, and Nocodazole, which disrupts microtubules, can also affect nuclear processes, including splicing, thereby impacting ZRSR2.
