MUM1 Activators

MUM1, also known as Melanoma-associated antigen (mutated) 1 or Multiple Myeloma Oncogene 1, encoded by the IRF4 gene, is a member of the interferon regulatory factor (IRF) family of transcription factors. It is widely recognized for its role in the immune system and oncogenesis. MUM1/IRF4 is particularly important in the differentiation and function of B cells and T cells, influencing the production of immunoglobulins in plasma cells and impacting the immune response.Overexpression of MUM1 has been observed in various hematologic malignancies, including multiple myeloma and certain types of non-Hodgkin lymphoma, where it serves as a prognostic indicator and a potential target.
