IRF-3 Inhibitors

IRF-3 inhibitors encompass a diverse group of molecules that are designed to specifically target and modulate the activity of Interferon Regulatory Factor 3 (IRF-3). IRF-3 is a pivotal transcription factor that plays a crucial role in the immune response by orchestrating the expression of genes involved in the production of type I interferons (IFNs) and other antiviral cytokines. These interferons are vital for activating an immune response against viral infections and initiating a cascade of events that lead to the clearance of pathogens.
