C17orf66 Activators

Forskolin serves as an archetypal agent that raises intracellular cAMP, thereby directly catalyzing the activation of protein kinase A. This kinase, in turn, targets proteins for phosphorylation, a molecular switch that can activate C17orf66. Complementing this action, IBMX ensures that cAMP levels remain elevated by impeding its breakdown, thus sustaining the phosphorylative signal and ensuring that the activation state of C17orf66 is maintained. PMA, a potent activator of protein kinase C, sets in motion a distinct phosphorylation cascade.
