SEE ALSO...

Topo I Antibody (H-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Topoisomerase I (Topo I) of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Topo I (H-5) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Topo I plays a crucial role in DNA metabolism by introducing transient breaks in one strand of the DNA helix, which is essential for alleviating torsional strain during processes such as DNA replication and transcription. This function allows proper DNA unwinding, facilitating access of replication and transcription machinery to genetic material. Dysregulation of Topo I activity can lead to genomic instability and has been implicated in various cancers, making Topo I a significant target for therapeutic intervention. Additionally, Topo I interacts with several specific proteins, including transcription factors and other DNA-binding proteins, further underscoring Topo I′s importance in maintaining cellular homeostasis and regulating gene expression. Anti-Topo I antibody (H-5)′s ability to effectively detect this vital protein across multiple species and applications makes anti-Topo I antibody (H-5) an invaluable tool for researchers studying DNA dynamics and related diseases.

Are there any issues with using sc-271285: Topo I (H-5) mouse monoclonal primary antibody on mouse samples?

Asked by: cjMara
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent,we recommend using a directly conjugated primary antibody. Please contact our special orders department for pricing and availability of sc-271285 conjugates.
