POLR2B Antibody (E-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects POLR2B protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-POLR2B antibody (E-12) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. POLR2B, also known as RNA polymerase II subunit B2, is a crucial component of the RNA polymerase II complex, which synthesizes messenger RNA from DNA templates. This 1174 amino acid protein plays a vital role in transcription by maintaining the structural integrity of the polymerase complex, ensuring efficient gene transcription. POLR2B is found in the nucleus, where POLR2B interacts with other RNA polymerase II subunits to form a large cleft that facilitates DNA template binding and newly synthesized RNA. Proper POLR2B function is essential for gene expression regulation, and dysfunction can lead to significant cellular consequences, including impaired transcriptional activity and potential links to various diseases.
