ND1 Activators

The concept of ND1 activators primarily revolves around indirect modulation, as direct chemical activators specifically targeting ND1 are not well-established. ND1's role in Complex I of the mitochondrial electron transport chain places it at a crucial juncture in cellular energy production through oxidative phosphorylation. Chemicals that modulate mitochondrial function and the electron transport chain can indirectly influence ND1 activity. Compounds like Coenzyme Q10, which is a part of the electron transport chain, and Metformin, known to affect Complex I, can impact the function of ND1 indirectly by altering mitochondrial efficiency and electron flow.
