VASA Antibody (2F9H5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects VASA protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), flow cytometry (FCM), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Notably, VASA exhibits varying expression levels during spermatogenesis, being most abundant in spermatogonia and diminishing through spermatocytes and spermatids, while remaining present in oogonia throughout oogenesis. VASA features a glycine-rich N-terminus with multiple RGG motif repeats, which are believed to facilitate RNA binding, underscoring VASA′s importance in the post-transcriptional regulation of gene expression during germ cell development.
