  • specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 200-225 at the C-terminus of SOCS-3 of mouse origin
  • Anti-SOCS-3 Antibody (G-5) is recommended for detection of SOCS-3 of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF, IHC(P) and ELISA
  • Anti-SOCS-3 Antibody (G-5) is available conjugated to agarose for IP; HRP for WB, IHC(P) and ELISA; and to either phycoerythrin or FITC for IF, IHC(P) and FCM
  • also available conjugated to Alexa Fluor® 488, Alexa Fluor® 546, Alexa Fluor® 594 or Alexa Fluor® 647 for WB (RGB), IF, IHC(P) and FCM, and for use with RGB fluorescent imaging systems, such as iBright™ FL1000, FluorChem™, Typhoon, Azure and other comparable systems
  • also available conjugated to Alexa Fluor® 680 or Alexa Fluor® 790 for WB (NIR), IF and FCM; for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR®Odyssey®, iBright™ FL1000, FluorChem™, Typhoon, Azure and other comparable systems
  • m-IgG Fc BP-HRP, m-IgG1 BP-HRP and m-IgGκ BP-HRP are the preferred secondary detection reagents for SOCS-3 Antibody (G-5) for WB and IHC(P) applications. These reagents are now offered in bundles with SOCS-3 Antibody (G-5) (see ordering information below).

SEE ALSO...

SOCS-3 Antibody (G-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects SOCS-3 in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SOCS-3 (G-5) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and multiple conjugated forms, such as agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and various Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SOCS-3 plays a crucial role in the negative regulation of cytokine signaling, which is vital for maintaining immune homeostasis and preventing excessive inflammatory responses. SOCS-3 is primarily located in the cytoplasm, where SOCS-3 interacts with various signaling pathways, including those activated by interleukin-6 (IL-6). SOCS-3′s ability to inhibit these pathways is essential for controlling the duration and intensity of cytokine signaling, thereby preventing chronic inflammation and autoimmune diseases. Additionally, SOCS-3 undergoes post-translational modifications, such as phosphorylation, which can influence SOCS-3′s stability and activity, further underscoring SOCS-3′s importance in cellular signaling networks.
