    SEE ALSO...

SNFT Antibody (D-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects SNFT of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-SNFT antibody (D-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SNFT, also known as BATF3 (basic leucine zipper transcription factor, ATF-like 3), JUNDM1, or JDP1, is a 127 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in regulating gene expression by localizing to the nucleus and containing a bZIP domain. This domain is essential for SNFT function as it allows interaction with c-Jun, acting as a negative regulator of AP-1-mediated transcription. By heterodimerizing with c-Jun and binding to specific DNA response elements, SNFT modulates the transcriptional activity of genes involved in various cellular processes, including cell proliferation and differentiation. The gene encoding SNFT is located on human chromosome 1, a region spanning 260 million base pairs and containing over 3,000 genes, with associations to numerous diseases, including familial adenomatous polyposis, Stickler syndrome, and various cancers. Understanding SNFT function and regulatory mechanisms is vital for elucidating its role in health and disease, particularly in cancer biology and therapeutic interventions.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-398902 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: cjMara
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
