    SEE ALSO...

Smad8 Antibody (A-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Smad8 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Smad8 antibody (A-1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Smad8, also known as Smad9 or MADH6, plays a crucial role in the transforming growth factor-beta (TGFβ) and bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) signaling pathways, acting as a downstream effector that mediates cellular responses to these important growth factors. Smad8 is primarily located in the nucleus, where Smad8 translocates upon activation by TGFβ or BMP ligands, allowing regulation of gene expression vital for processes such as cell differentiation, proliferation, and apoptosis. This nuclear localization enables Smad8 to interact with other transcription factors and co-regulators, thereby influencing the transcriptional landscape in response to extracellular signals. Understanding the function and localization of Smad8 is important for elucidating Smad8′s role in various physiological and pathological processes, including development, immune response, and cancer progression.
