SF4 Antibody (H-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects SF4 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SF4, also known as splicing factor 4 or RNA-binding protein, is a crucial 645 amino acid nuclear protein that plays a significant role in pre-mRNA splicing as a member of the SURP family of splicing factors. SF4 is predominantly expressed in the testis and heart, but is also present in skeletal muscle, brain, and kidney, where SF4 acts as an essential component of the spliceosome, the complex responsible for the removal of introns from pre-mRNA. The structure of SF4 includes two SURP motif repeats and one G-patch domain, which are vital for SF4′s function in RNA processing.
