SAP 145 Antibody (D-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects SAP 145 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SAP 145 is a crucial component of the SF3b complex, which is integral to the assembly of the spliceosome, a vital molecular machine responsible for the splicing of pre-mRNA. SAP 145 (D-4) antibody recognizes a protein that interacts with other spliceosomal proteins, including SAP 49, SAP 130, and SAP 155, facilitating the proper assembly and function of the spliceosome. Notably, SAP 145 directly interacts with SAP 49, a relationship that is essential for the stability and functionality of the spliceosomal complex. The interaction between these proteins is particularly significant as SAP 49′s amino-terminus contains two RNA-recognition motifs that are critical for binding to both U2 small nuclear ribonucleoprotein and pre-mRNA. This interaction not only highlights SAP 145′s role in spliceosome assembly but also emphasizes SAP 145′s potential impact on gene expression regulation, making SAP 145 a key player in cellular processes. Anti-SAP 145 antibody (D-4) serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying RNA splicing and related pathways.
