SEE ALSO...

Ref-1 Antibody (H-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Ref-1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Ref-1 antibody (H-6) is available in both non-conjugated and multiple conjugated forms, such as agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and various Alexa Fluor® conjugates, providing versatility for different experimental needs. Ref-1, also known as redox factor 1, plays a crucial role in regulating transcription factors by modulating their redox state, which is essential for maintaining proper gene expression. Ref-1 (H-6) monoclonal antibody targets a protein primarily located in the nucleus, where Ref-1 participates in DNA repair processes and influences transcription factor activity by protecting critical cysteine residues from oxidative damage. Ref-1′s ability to restore DNA binding activity of transcription factors like Fos and Jun after oxidative stress highlights its importance in cellular responses to environmental changes and stressors. Understanding Ref-1′s function and localization helps researchers better appreciate its role in gene regulation and potential implications in diseases where redox balance is disrupted.
