PSMD8 Antibody (A-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects PSMD8 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PSMD8, also known as HIP6, HYPF, Nin1p, Rpn12, S14, or p31, is a crucial regulatory component of the 26S proteasome, a complex responsible for the selective degradation of ubiquitinated proteins, which is vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis and regulating various cellular processes. PSMD8 consists of 257 amino acids and is essential for the activation of CDC28 kinase, playing a significant role in cell cycle regulation. PSMD8 is encoded by a gene located on human chromosome 19q13.2, and proper function is critical for the proteasome′s ability to process and recycle proteins, thereby influencing numerous signaling pathways and cellular responses.
