PSMD8 Antibody (H-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects PSMD8 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PSMD8 (H-11) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PSMD8 protein, also known as HIP6, HYPF, Nin1p, Rpn12, S14, or p31, is a crucial regulatory component of the 26S proteasome, which plays a vital role in maintaining cellular homeostasis by selectively degrading ubiquitinated proteins. This selective degradation is essential for various cellular processes, including the regulation of the cell cycle, modulation of signal transduction pathways, and the removal of damaged or misfolded proteins. The 26S proteasome is composed of a 20S core particle that houses the proteolytic activity and two 19S regulatory particles that facilitate the recognition and unfolding of ubiquitinated substrates. PSMD8, consisting of 257 amino acids, is integral to the activation of CDC28 kinase and is encoded by a gene located on human chromosome 19q13.2. The ability of PSMD8 to interact with other proteins within the proteasome complex underscores its importance in proteostasis and cellular function, making anti-PSMD8 antibody (H-11) a valuable tool for researchers studying protein degradation pathways and their implications in health and disease.
