POLR2I Antibody (F-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects POLR2I protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-POLR2I antibody (F-11) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. POLR2I protein, also known as polymerase (RNA) II (DNA directed) polypeptide I, RPB9, or hRPB14.5, is a crucial component of RNA polymerase II, which is responsible for the transcription of protein-coding genes. POLR2I consists of 125 amino acids and belongs to the archaeal rpoM/eukaryotic RPA12/RPB9/RPC11 RNA polymerase family. POLR2I plays a vital role in the transcription process by facilitating the recruitment of the transcription machinery to gene promoters, which is essential for the initiation of transcription. POLR2I′s location within the upper jaw of the RNA polymerase II complex allows interaction with the incoming DNA template, ensuring accurate transcription of genetic information into RNA. POLR2I′s coordination with other subunits and transcription factors highlights its importance in gene expression regulation, making POLR2I a key target for studies related to transcriptional control and its implications in various biological processes and diseases.
