Pol II Antibody (A-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects RNA Polymerase II (Pol II) in mouse, rat, and human samples by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Pol II antibody (A-10) is available in non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. RNA Polymerase II plays a crucial role in transcribing protein-coding genes, and proper function is essential for gene expression regulation. RNA Polymerase II consists of twelve subunits, with RPB1 (also known as RPB205) being a 1,840 amino acid protein featuring a C2H2-type zinc finger and a C-terminal domain rich in heptapeptide repeats. RPB1 is vital for catalytic activity and forming the DNA-binding domain necessary for DNA template transcription. RPB1′s interaction with the second largest subunit is critical for forming the active center of RNA Polymerase II, and dysfunction can lead to impaired mRNA synthesis and transcription elongation. Pol II (A-10) monoclonal antibody serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying transcriptional regulation and molecular mechanisms underlying gene expression in various biological contexts.

I am using the LiCor/Odyssey system. Which secondary antibody do you recommend using with Pol II Antibody (A-10): sc-17798?

Asked by: jenni
We recommend using one of our our exclusive Mouse IgG Binding Proteins (m-IgGκ) conjugated to CFL 680 or CFL 790. They are suitable for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR/Odyssey and other comparable systems. A complete list of available binding proteins is available on our website here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/browse/support-products-mouse-igg-binding-proteins/_/N-ecrety
