PLUNC Antibody (G-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects PLUNC of mouse origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PLUNC (G-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The palate lung nasal epithelial clone PLUNC, also known as LUNX, plays a critical role in the innate immune response, particularly in the upper respiratory tract, where PLUNC is primarily expressed in epithelial tissues and submucosal glands. PLUNC is essential for recognizing and binding to lipopolysaccharide (LPS) found in nasal lavage fluid, highlighting PLUNC′s importance in the inflammatory response following exposure to airborne irritants. Notably, decreased levels of PLUNC have been observed in the nasal lavage fluid of smokers and individuals exposed to reactive epoxy chemicals, suggesting that chronic exposure to such irritants can impair PLUNC production, potentially increasing susceptibility to respiratory diseases. Furthermore, abnormal expression of PLUNC has been linked to an increased risk of nasopharyngeal carcinoma in certain populations, underscoring PLUNC′s significance in both respiratory health and disease.
