SEE ALSO...

PDE6G/H Antibody (A-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects PDE6G/H protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-PDE6G/H antibody (A-2) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PDE6G protein, also known as phosphodiesterase 6G cGMP-specific rod gamma, plays a crucial role in the visual signaling pathway by hydrolyzing cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP), thereby regulating the phototransduction cascade in rod photoreceptors. This process is vital for converting light signals into electrical signals, which are then transmitted to the brain for visual perception. Mutations in the PDE6G gene can lead to significant visual impairments, highlighting the importance of this protein in maintaining normal vision. Similarly, PDE6H, or phosphodiesterase 6H cGMP-specific cone gamma, is essential for cone photoreceptor function and is composed of two catalytic chains and two inhibitory chains. Defects in the PDE6H gene are associated with retinal cone dystrophy 3, a condition that affects color vision and night vision. PDE6G/H monoclonal antibody (A-2) effectively detects these proteins, making this antibody a valuable tool for researchers studying visual signal transduction and related disorders.
