PDE1B Antibody (G-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects PDE1B of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-PDE1B antibody (G-5) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PDE1B plays a crucial role in cellular signaling by hydrolyzing cyclic nucleotides, specifically cAMP and cGMP, which are vital for regulating smooth muscle tone and neuronal signaling pathways. PDE1B is predominantly located in neuronal cells within the cerebellum, hippocampus, and caudate, as well as in lymphoblastoid lines such as RPMI-8392 cells. PDE1B presence in these regions underscores its importance in cognitive functions such as learning and memory, as well as involvement in the phosphorylation regulation of DARPP-32 in dopaminergic neurons. The human PDE1B gene, which maps to chromosome 12q13, consists of 13 exons and encodes a 536-amino acid protein, with a splice variant known as PDE1B2 that alters the first 38 residues, highlighting the complexity and regulatory potential in various physiological processes.
