SEE ALSO...

PARD6A Antibody (G-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects PARD6A in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PARD6A, also known as PAR6C, is a crucial component in establishing cellular polarity and asymmetric cell division, vital processes for multicellular organism development and function. This 345 amino acid polypeptide features a PDZ domain and a CRIB-like motif that facilitates interaction with GTP-bound Rac and Cdc42, as well as with atypical protein kinase C isoforms PKCι/λ and PKCΩ. These interactions are essential for forming a ternary complex that plays a significant role in developing tight junctions at epithelial cell-cell contacts, thereby maintaining epithelial layer integrity. Additionally, PARD6A is involved in polarizing mother cells prior to asymmetric cell division in organisms such as Caenorhabditis elegans. PARD6A expression is prominent in pancreas, skeletal muscle, brain, and heart, with lower levels detected in kidney and placenta, highlighting importance in various physiological contexts. PARD6A (G-9) antibody serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying cellular polarity and implications in developmental biology and cancer research.
