PARD6A Antibody (C-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PARD6A protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PARD6A (C-3) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PARD6A protein, also known as PAR6C, plays a crucial role in establishing cellular asymmetry, which is vital for proper development of multicellular organisms. This 345 amino acid polypeptide features a PDZ domain and a CRIB-like motif that facilitates interaction with GTP-bound Rac and Cdc42, as well as atypical protein kinase C isoforms PKCι/λ and PKCΩ. These interactions are essential for forming a ternary complex that contributes to establishing tight junctions at epithelial cell-cell contacts and is involved in polarizing mother cells prior to asymmetric cell division in organisms such as C. elegans. PARD6A is predominantly expressed in pancreas, skeletal muscle, brain, and heart, with weaker expression observed in kidney and placenta. Additionally, PARD6A interacts with PARD3, helping to localize or maintain PARD3 at cell periphery, further underscoring its importance in cellular organization and signaling pathways.
