p-ZAP-70 Antibody (pY319.17A) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects p-ZAP-70 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). p-ZAP-70, a phosphorylated form of protein tyrosine kinase ZAP-70, plays a crucial role in T cell receptor signaling, which is essential for T lymphocyte activation and immune response. The phosphorylation of ZAP-70 at tyrosine 319 enhances the interaction between ZAP-70 and Lck, another key protein involved in T cell signaling. This interaction is vital for the propagation of signals that lead to T cell activation, proliferation, and differentiation, making p-ZAP-70 a critical player in the immune system′s ability to respond to pathogens. Anti-p-ZAP-70 antibody (pY319.17A) specifically recognizes this phosphorylated form, enabling researchers to study the dynamics of T cell activation and the underlying mechanisms of immune responses, providing valuable insights into immunological diseases and potential therapeutic targets.

I am using p-ZAP-70 (pY319.17A): sc-136248 antibody for immunoprecipitation, how much antibody should I use?

Asked by: jenniferc
Thank you for your question. We recommend using 1–10 µl (i.e., 0.2–2 µg) of antibody with 1 ml of cell lysate. However, optimal antibody concentration should be determined by titration. Please find our full immunoprecipitation protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoprecipitation-western-blots
