SEE ALSO...

p-Smad3 Antibody (1D9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG antibody that detects Ser 425 phosphorylated Smad3 in mouse, rat, and human samples through immunofluorescence (IF) and immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP). p-Smad3 (1D9) antibody is available in a non-conjugated form, allowing for versatile applications in research. Smad3 plays a crucial role in the transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-β) signaling pathway, which regulates various cellular processes, including cell growth, differentiation, and apoptosis. Phosphorylation of Smad3 at Ser 425 enhances transcriptional activity, influencing gene expression in response to TGF-β signals. This modification enables Smad3 to form complexes with Smad4 and translocate to the nucleus, where Smad3 regulates target gene transcription. Understanding Smad3 phosphorylation dynamics and implications in cellular signaling can provide insights into various pathological conditions, including cancer and fibrosis, making anti-p-Smad3 antibody (1D9) an invaluable tool for researchers studying these critical biological processes.

Does Santa Cruz have any anti-p-Smad antibody suitable for Western Blot Analysis? I think you used to have sc-11769, but it is no longer available. Could you confirm this? Thank you in advance.

What is best IHC protocol? (with or without HIER, citrate or not, incubation time)

Asked by: QMGC
Thank you for your question. Here is a link to our recommended protocol for IHC: https://www.scbt.com/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining We do recommend antigen retrieval with sodium citrate. The recommended starting dilution for this antibody is 1:50, and incubation is 1 hour at room temperature. These are starting conditions, optimization will be necessary for each sample.
