Datasheets
  • p-NF-M Antibody (RNF403) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 κ, cited in 1 publications, provided at 200 µg/ml
  • raised against a neurofilament NF-M protein isolated from a cytoskeletal preparation from calf brain
  • recommended for detection of phosphorylated NF-M of mouse, rat, human and Xenopus origin by WB, IP, IF and IHC(P); also reactive with additional species, including bovine
  • m-IgG Fc BP-HRP, m-IgG1 BP-HRP and m-IgGκ BP-HRP are the preferred secondary detection reagents for p-NF-M Antibody (RNF403) for WB and IHC(P) applications. These reagents are now offered in bundles with p-NF-M Antibody (RNF403) (see ordering information below).

SEE ALSO...

p-NF-M Antibody (RNF403) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects neurofilament-M (NF-M) in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry. anti-NF-M antibody (RNF403) specifically recognizes phosphorylated forms of NF-M, which is a crucial component of the neuronal cytoskeleton and plays a significant role in maintaining the structural integrity of axons. NF-M phosphorylation regulates the assembly and stability of neurofilaments, influencing axon caliber and neuronal signaling. Dysregulation of NF-M phosphorylation has been implicated in various neurodegenerative diseases, including amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), Parkinson′s disease, and Alzheimer′s disease, highlighting NF-M monoclonal antibody (RNF403)′s potential utility in research focused on these conditions. By providing insights into the phosphorylation status of NF-M, NF-M (RNF403) antibody can aid in understanding the underlying mechanisms of neurodegeneration and the role of neurofilaments in neuronal health and disease.

Can p-NF-M (RNF403): sc-32726 monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

Asked by: Randy McDonald
Thank you for your question. Yes, p-NF-M (RNF403): sc-32726 has been validated for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
