NOR-1 Antibody (F-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects NOR-1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). NOR-1, also known as neuron-derived orphan receptor 1, is a member of the NGFI-B subfamily within the nuclear receptor superfamily, which includes Nur77 and Nurr1. These proteins are classified as orphan nuclear receptors due to the absence of identified ligands, and function as immediate-early genes that respond rapidly to various stimuli, playing crucial roles in cell proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis. NOR-1 is predominantly expressed in the heart, skeletal muscle, thymus, spleen, and brain, where expression is developmentally regulated, suggesting involvement in neural differentiation. Notably, NOR-1 undergoes chromosomal translocation with the EWS gene, resulting in a fusion protein that influences pre-mRNA splicing, impacting gene expression and cellular function.
