    SEE ALSO...

NF-E2 Antibody (G-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects NF-E2 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). NF-E2 (G-2) antibody is available as the non-conjugated form. NF-E2 protein plays a crucial role in regulating globulin gene expression in developing erythroid cells, vital for proper red blood cell formation and function. This regulation occurs through NF-E2′s interaction with specific upstream AP-1-like recognition sites, particularly a site containing an intact AP-1 binding motif, with a G residue located two base pairs upstream. NF-E2 is an obligate heterodimer composed of two subunits: NF-E2 p45 and NF-E2 p18. NF-E2 p18, also known as NF-E2U or MAFK, is a ubiquitously expressed component related to the v-Maf oncogene and features a basic-leucine zipper domain essential for DNA binding and dimerization. NF-E2 p18 may contribute to erythroid differentiation, highlighting its importance in hematopoiesis. NF-E2 p45, the major component, belongs to the basic region-leucine zipper family of transcription factors and is specifically expressed at low levels in hematopoietic progenitor cells and differentiated cells of the erythroid, megakaryocyte, and mast cell lineages, underscoring its significance in blood cell development.
