Datasheets
  • MYL7 Antibody (D-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 κ provided at 200 µg/ml
  • specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 134-156 near the C-terminus of MYL7 of human origin
  • recommended for detection of MYL7 of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA
  • m-IgG Fc BP-HRP, m-IgG1 BP-HRP and m-IgGκ BP-HRP are the preferred secondary detection reagents for MYL7 Antibody (D-9) for WB applications. These reagents are now offered in bundles with MYL7 Antibody (D-9) (see ordering information below).

    SEE ALSO...

MYL7 Antibody (D-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects myosin regulatory light chain 7 (MYL7) in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-MYL7 antibody (D-9) targets a crucial component of cardiac muscle, encoded by the MYL7 gene, which plays a significant role in muscle contraction and relaxation by regulating the interaction between actin and myosin filaments. MYL7 (D-9) antibody recognizes a protein predominantly expressed in adult atrial muscle, where MYL7 forms part of a hexameric complex consisting of two heavy chains and four light chains. MYL7′s ability to bind calcium is vital for cardiac function, as MYL7 influences the contractile properties of the heart. The co-expression of MYL7 with myosin light chain 2 in specific regions of the heart allows for precise delineation of cardiac chamber boundaries, which is essential for understanding cardiac development and function. A remarkable 95% homology exists at the amino acid level between human and mouse MYL7 sequences, making MYL7 (D-9) monoclonal antibody a valuable tool for comparative studies in cardiac research.
