MYL7 Antibody (B-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects MYL7 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). MYL7 (B-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. MYL7 protein, also known as myosin regulatory light chain 7 or myosin regulatory light chain 2, atrial isoform (MLC-2a), plays a crucial role in muscle contraction as part of a hexameric complex composed of two heavy chains and four light chains, predominantly expressed in adult atrial muscle. MYL7′s ability to bind calcium is vital for regulating muscle contraction and relaxation, making MYL7 an important molecular marker for cardiac chamber specification. Co-expression of MYL7 with myosin light chain 2 (MLC2v) in specific cardiac regions allows for precise delineation of atrial and ventricular boundaries, which is essential for understanding cardiac development and function. Notably, there is a remarkable 95% amino acid homology between human and mouse MYL7 sequences, underscoring anti-MYL7 antibody (B-10)′s relevance in comparative studies across species.
