MKP-1 Antibody (E-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that targets mitogen-activated protein kinase phosphatase 1 (MKP-1), also known as dual-specificity phosphatase 1 (DUSP1), in human, mouse, and rat samples. MKP-1 is a dual-specificity phosphatase that dephosphorylates threonine and tyrosine residues on mitogen-activated protein kinases (MAPKs), thereby inactivating them and serving as a critical negative regulator of MAPK signaling pathways. This regulation is essential for controlling cellular processes such as proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis. By modulating MAPK activity, MKP-1 plays a pivotal role in maintaining cellular homeostasis and responding to stress stimuli.
