SEE ALSO...

mGluR-2 Antibody (A-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects mGluR-2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). mGluR-2 (A-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. mGluR-2, a member of the metabotropic glutamate receptor family, plays a crucial role in modulating synaptic transmission and plasticity in the central nervous system. mGluR-2 is primarily located in presynaptic terminals of neurons, where mGluR-2 regulates neurotransmitter release, thereby influencing neuronal excitability and communication. This localization is vital for maintaining the balance of excitatory and inhibitory signals in the brain, which is essential for normal cognitive functions and emotional regulation. Dysregulation of mGluR-2 has been implicated in various neurological disorders, including schizophrenia and anxiety, making mGluR-2 a significant target for therapeutic interventions. mGluR-2′s interaction with proteins such as GRASP further highlights mGluR-2′s importance in synaptic stability and neurotransmission regulation, underscoring anti-mGluR-2 antibody (A-7)′s relevance in research focused on neurobiology and related fields.
