    SEE ALSO...

LYSMD1 Antibody (G-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects LYSMD1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). LYSMD1, also known as SB145, is a 227 amino acid protein characterized by a single LysM repeat and exists in two alternatively spliced isoforms, which may play distinct roles in cellular processes. LYSMD1 is primarily located in the cytoplasm, where LYSMD1 is believed to be involved in the recognition and binding of peptidoglycan, a crucial component of bacterial cell walls. LYSMD1′s ability to interact with peptidoglycan suggests a role in the immune response, particularly in the detection and response to bacterial infections. Understanding LYSMD1 function could provide insights into potential therapeutic targets for infections and inflammatory conditions. The gene encoding LYSMD1 is situated on human chromosome 1, a region associated with various diseases, including certain cancers and genetic disorders, highlighting LYSMD1′s relevance in broader biological contexts.
