LKB1 Antibody (E-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody engineered to detect LKB1, also known as STK11 or serine/threonine kinase 11, in human samples using western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-LKB1 antibody (E-9) recognizes an epitope within the first 75 amino acids at the N-terminus of human LKB1, ensuring effective detection across various experimental platforms. LKB1 is a 433 amino acid serine/threonine kinase that plays a crucial role in regulating cellular energy homeostasis, cell polarity, and metabolism by activating AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) and other related kinases. Structurally, LKB1 contains a conserved kinase domain essential for enzymatic activity, as well as regulatory regions that facilitate interactions with several key proteins, including STRAD, MO25, and the MARK family kinases. These interactions are vital for proper localization and activation of LKB1, thereby influencing numerous cellular processes such as growth, differentiation, and apoptosis. Mutations in LKB1 are strongly associated with Peutz-Jeghers Syndrome (PJS), a hereditary disorder characterized by benign polyps in the gastrointestinal tract, pigmented spots on the lips, and an increased risk of various cancers. By elucidating the interactions between LKB1 and binding partners, researchers can better understand the molecular mechanisms underlying tumor suppression and metabolic regulation. LKB1 (E-9) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and multiple conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and various Alexa Fluor® conjugates, providing versatility for diverse research applications. Anti-LKB1 antibody (E-9) is an essential tool for scientists investigating the intricate network of protein interactions involving LKB1, facilitating advancements in cancer biology, metabolic disease research, and cellular signaling pathways.
