IRF-2BP1 Antibody (A-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects IRF-2BP1 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). IRF-2BP1 (A-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. IRF-2BP1, also known as interferon regulatory factor 2 binding protein 1, plays a crucial role in gene expression regulation, particularly in immune responses. IRF-2BP1 acts as a corepressor of IRF-2, inhibiting both enhancer activation and basal transcription, which is vital for maintaining gene expression balance in response to interferon signaling. IRF-2BP1 is located in the nucleus, where IRF-2BP1 interacts with various transcription factors, including JDP2 (Jun-dimerization protein 2), enhancing polyubiquitination, which is essential for regulating stability and activity of these factors. A C-terminal RING-type zinc finger domain in IRF-2BP1 is critical for interaction with BRCA1 associated protein 1 (BAP1), linking IRF-2BP1 to pathways involved in DNA repair and cell cycle regulation. Encoded by a gene on human chromosome 19, IRF-2BP1 is part of a densely packed genomic region, underscoring potential significance in various cellular processes and disease states.
