SEE ALSO...

Integrin αIIb/β3 Antibody (P256) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody engineered to recognize integrin αIIb/β3 protein, also known as GPIIb/IIIa or CD41/CD61, which is predominantly expressed on human peripheral blood mononuclear cells. Anti-integrin αIIb/β3 antibody (P256) is raised against these cells, ensuring precise binding and effective detection in applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). Integrin αIIb/β3 is a crucial heterodimeric transmembrane receptor composed of αIIb and β3 subunits, whose specific structural configuration is essential for mediating platelet aggregation and thrombus formation. The αIIb and β3 subunits noncovalently associate to form a stable complex that undergoes conformational changes upon ligand binding, allowing for effective interaction with fibrinogen and other extracellular matrix proteins. This structural integrity facilitates platelet binding to each other and to the extracellular matrix, a key process in blood clot stabilization during hemostasis. The extracellular domains of integrin αIIb/β3 are responsible for ligand recognition, while cytoplasmic tails interact with the cytoskeleton and signaling molecules, enabling signal transmission that regulates cellular processes such as growth, differentiation, migration, and apoptosis. The precise arrangement and flexibility of these domains are critical for integrin′s ability to respond to mechanical and chemical cues in the cellular environment, making integrin αIIb/β3 essential in both normal physiological functions and pathological conditions like blood clotting disorders and cardiovascular diseases. Integrin αIIb/β3 monoclonal antibody (P256) facilitates advanced research into molecular mechanisms of platelet function, cellular adhesion, and signal transduction pathways, supporting therapeutic strategy development for managing thrombotic diseases and improving cardiovascular health.
