SEE ALSO...

EDG-5 Antibody (F-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects EDG-5 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). EDG-5 (F-3) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. EDG-5 protein, also known as S1PR2 or S1P2, is a member of the endothelial differentiation gene (EDG) family of G protein-coupled receptors, which play a crucial role in mediating the effects of lysophospholipid signaling molecules such as sphingosine-1-phosphate (S1P) and lysophosphatidic acid (LPA). S1PR2 is particularly important due to its involvement in various physiological processes, including cell survival, migration, and differentiation, which are essential for normal cardiovascular function and brain development. EDG-5 is widely distributed across tissues, including the cardiovascular system and brain, where S1PR2 interacts with multiple G proteins to activate downstream signaling pathways that influence cellular responses. Understanding S1PR2 function and signaling mechanisms is vital for elucidating EDG-5′s role in health and disease, particularly in conditions such as cancer and cardiovascular disorders.

Are there any issues with using sc-365589: EDG-5 (F-3) mouse monoclonal primary antibody on mouse samples?

Asked by: Cweed
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent,we recommend using a directly conjugated primary antibody. Please contact our special orders department for pricing and availability of sc-365589 conjugates.
