    SEE ALSO...

DOC1 Antibody (D-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects DOC1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). DOC1 (D-2) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. DOC1, also known as Down-regulated in Ovarian Cancer-1, Filamin A-interacting protein 1-like, and GPBP-interacting protein, is a 1135 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in cellular processes, particularly in ovarian cancer, where DOC1 is often downregulated. DOC1 absence in ovarian cancer cell lines highlights potential as a tumor suppressor, and research indicates that knockdown of DOC1 mRNA can lead to suppression of EMAP II-stimulated gene expression, suggesting DOC1 may mediate important signaling pathways. Additionally, DOC1 gene is upregulated in endothelial cells treated with angiogenesis inhibitors, indicating potential utility as an antivascular agent in cancer therapy. Notably, DOC1 exists in five isoforms due to alternative splicing, which may contribute to diverse functional roles in different cellular contexts.
