SEE ALSO...

Derlin-2 Antibody (D-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects Derlin-2 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Derlin-2 (D-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Derlin-2 plays a critical role in the endoplasmic reticulum-associated degradation (ERAD) pathway, which maintains cellular homeostasis by ensuring misfolded or unassembled proteins are efficiently targeted for degradation. This process is vital because accumulated proteins can lead to cellular stress and contribute to various diseases, including neurodegenerative disorders and cancer. Derlin-2 functions as a multi-pass membrane protein localized to the endoplasmic reticulum, facilitating the translocation of misfolded proteins from the ER to the cytosol for proteasomal degradation. Derlin-2 shows high expression in tissues such as the spleen, pancreas, lung, liver, thymus, and ovary, and Derlin-2 overexpression has been linked to hepatocarcinomas, highlighting a potential role in tumorigenesis.
