CYP7A1 Antibody (E-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CYP7A1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-CYP7A1 antibody (E-10) is available in non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CYP7A1, also known as cholesterol 7alpha-hydroxylase, plays a crucial role as the rate-limiting enzyme in bile acid synthesis within the liver, a process essential for digesting and absorbing dietary fats and fat-soluble vitamins. CYP7A1 expression is primarily regulated by bile acid receptor FXR, which responds to bile acid levels in the body, ensuring a balanced metabolic response.
