SEE ALSO...

CYP7A1 Antibody (8F1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects CYP7A1 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-CYP7A1 antibody (8F1) is available as a non-conjugated format. CYP7A1, also known as cholesterol 7-alpha-hydroxylase, plays a crucial role as the rate-limiting enzyme in bile acid synthesis within the liver, a process essential for the digestion and absorption of dietary fats and fat-soluble vitamins. CYP7A1 expression is primarily mediated by the bile acid receptor FXR, which responds to the levels of bile acids in the body, ensuring a balance in bile acid homeostasis. Dysregulation of CYP7A1 can lead to metabolic disorders, including cholesterol gallstone disease and liver dysfunction. Additionally, CYP7A1 activity is influenced by various factors, including dietary components and hormonal signals, highlighting its importance in maintaining lipid metabolism and overall health. Anti-CYP7A1 antibody (8F1) serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying cholesterol metabolism and related diseases, providing insights into the functional dynamics of CYP7A1 in human physiology.
